UK’s Washington out a month following surgery

Kentucky forward P.J. Washington is expected to miss nearly a month after undergoing surgery to repair his left pinky finger. According to head coach John Calipari, Washington is expected to make the trip to the Bahamas to play in the Wildcats’ preseason exhibition series in August. The second-year big man decided to withdraw his name from the NBA Draft last month and return to school. Washington is Kentucky’s leading returning scorer and rebounder.
