Christian County fell to Paintsville 3-1 this afternoon at the KHSAA State Tournament in Lexington. Wyatt Stevenson got the scoring started for Christian County with a solo home run in the top of the first inning. Paintsville would grab the lead at 2-1 in the bottom of that innings with a two run homer from Seth Adams.
The Tigers would get an outstanding pitching performance from freshman Mason Moore who retired the last 15 batters and 18 of the last 20. The Colonels had two on in the third inning but Lane Diuguid flied out to left field to end the inning.
