The Guthrie Police Department arrested two men Thursday night, following a traffic stop on Dixie Beeline in Guthrie.
According to the police report from Sgt. Dean Blumel, officers observed a vehicle cross over the center line on Dixie Beeline and they initiated a traffic stop. Contact was made with the driver, 55-year old Edward Alder of Elkton, who told officers he had been at the lake all day and reportedly gave them consent to search the vehicle.
Officers allegedly located two large knives, one between the seats and another under the driver seat. Alder was arrested and charged with careless driving, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and failure to maintain registration.
A passenger in the vehicle, 25-year old Thomas Gates of Allensville, was served with two warrants for probation violation and failure to appear.
