Washington to return to UK while Gabriel and Vanderbilt turn pro

Kentucky forward PJ Washington is withdrawing from the NBA Draft and returning to Lexington for his sophomore season. The former five-star recruit will be the leading returning scorer for the Wildcats after he averaged 10.8 points in his freshman season.

However, the Wildcats will lose forwards Wenyen Gabriel and Jarred Vanderbilt after they opted to remain in the NBA Draft. Gabriel averaged 6.8 points as a sophomore and Vanderbilt averaged 5.9 points in an injury-plagued freshman campaign.
