The first showing for the Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Department’s Movies in the Park is Friday evening and kicks off the program for the rest of the summer.
The first location will be the recreation complex at Debow Park on North Drive and Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman says if the weather turns rainy, they will move it inside to the Thomas Street Rec Center.
The show starts at 8 p.m. and the first movie is the Lego Batman Movie. The next movie will be Black Panther at Tie Breaker Park at 8 p.m. on June 8th. Program Coordinator Toby Hudson says they will also be able to send the audio on a radio frequency to your vehicle and Brockman urged everyone to bring their families and enjoy the drive-in experience.
Movies will be shown throughout the summer, ending on September 14th. Food trucks and concessions will be available on site. For more information about Movies in the Park, including a full showing schedule, like Parker Rec on Facebook. **
