One of the biggest fundraisers for the Hopkinsville-Christian County Imagination Library is coming up this weekend and has been revamped into a new event, Jazz in June.
Formerly known as Bash at the Burdoc, it takes place at Burdoc Farms in Crofton. Library Director DeAnna Sova appeared on WHOP News and says the evening will start with live jazz music and transition into a DJ, so there should be something everyone will enjoy.
She says tickets are $60 apiece and attendees will receive dinner along with the music, and she thinks people will enjoy the differences from previous years.
The event starts at 6 p.m. Saturday. Tickets can be purchased at the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library. The Imagination Library serves over 3,000 local children yearly, and all proceeds raised from Jazz in June will go to benefit that program.
The initiative provides children five-years old and younger with a free book every month, in the hope of furthering preschool education and advance the other benefits to early reading.
