Paducah’s Russ Cochran had his second straight 70 Friday at the Senior PGA Championship in Benton Harbor, MI. Cochran stands at two under 140. Franklin’s Kenny Perry is also at two under par 140 after firing a 72. Both are tied for 34th place.
Kevin Sutherland and Scott McCarron at eight under par have a one shot lead on a quartet of players including Joe Durant and Jerry Kelly.
Elsewhere: Princeton’s Emma Talley had a 72 in her second round Friday at the LPGA’s Volvik Championship in Ann Arbor, MI. Talley is in a tie for 21st at three under par. Nasa Hataoka shot a 4-under 68 on Friday, and the Japanese teenager at nine under leads by one stroke over Minjee Lee.
On the PGA Tour,Justin Rose shot a 6-under 64 in the second round of the Fort Worth Invitational at Colonial Country Club Friday, getting to 10 under for a one-stroke lead over Emiliano Grillo. Nashville’s Brandt Snedeker had a 71 in his second round and stands tied for 60th at one over 141.
