MLB Roundup-Reds & Braves win, Cards and Cubs lose

Matt Harvey tossed six innings of one-run ball as the Cincinnati Reds cruised past the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-2. Harvey limited Pittsburgh to three hits and two walks to pick up his first win of the season. Scooter Gennett hit a grand slam in the fifth to break open a 2-1 game and finished with six RBI. The teams play again tonight in Cincinnati.

Elsewhere in the National League: Ozzie Albies scored all three runs as the Atlanta Braves edged the Philadelphia Phillies 3-1. Albies got things going with a solo homer in the third inning, scored on an error in the fifth, and on a Ronald Acuna Jr. double in the ninth. The series continues tonight in Philadelphia.

Interleague: Jason Hammel outdueled Luke Weaver as the Kansas City Royals cut down the St. Louis Cardinals 5-1. The teams conclude the series this afternoon at Busch Stadium.

The Cleveland Indians raced out to a 10-0 lead in the fifth inning and cruised to a 10-1 win over the Chicago Cubs. Game two of the series is tonight at Wrigley Field.
