Iowa woman hurt in I-24 crash

A two-vehicle crash on I-24 in Christian County Wednesday afternoon injured one of the drivers.

It happened about 2:20 p.m., with a Christian County Sheriff’s Department report saying 22-year old Shelby Knauss of Iowa was westbound near the 80 mile-marker when her car went off the left shoulder of the roadway.

It struck the cable barrier, causing her to over-correct and she struck the front of a westbound tractor-trailer operated by 52-year old Michael Becker of St. Charles, Missouri.

Knauss complained of arm and chest pain associated with the airbag and seat belt and was taken by EMS to Tennova Health Hospital in Clarksville for treatment.
