An investigation into an alleged assault with a gun early Thursday morning ended with an arrest on multiple charges.
Hopkinsville Police received a call at Grupo regarding an assault that had taken place, according to an arrest citation for 32-year old Xavier Bryant of Hopkinsville, which says a female victim said Bryant struck her on the head with a gun.
Officers obtained a search warrant for Bryant’s home and say they found synthetic marijuana, plastic baggies and cash.
Bryant was arrested and charged with first-degree assault, trafficking in synthetic drugs and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
