Report indicates Pitino could be involved in recruit tampering

The Washington Post reports former Louisville coach Rick Pitino reportedly met with an Adidas executive about keeping recruit Romeo Langford in the Adidas camp and away from schools including Kentucky.

Pitino told the newspaper about a meeting with indicted Adidas executive Jim Gatto in which it was told Langford would go to a school with either a Nike or Under Armour agreement. The story also detailed Adidas’ maneuvers to sponsor an AAU team led by Langford’s father, Tim in January, 2017. Langford recently signed with Indiana, which is an Adidas school.
