The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has restricted eastbound traffic to one lane along a section of Interstate 24 in Christian County and the restriction will remain in place a little longer than anticipated.
I-24 eastbound traffic is restricted to one lane to allow concrete pavement repairs between the 90 and 92 mile marker. After starting work Monday, the crew determined that several concrete slabs along this section will have to be replaced. That will require the work zone to stay up around the clock through Wednesday afternoon.
Eastbound I-24 traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane in this work zone.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and other personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
