Hopkinsville Police are investigating after a man was fatally shot Sunday afternoon near the intersection of Central Avenue and Broad Street.
Lt. Jefferson Alexander spoke to WHOP News at the scene and says the male victim’s vehicle crashed into a home following the shooting.
Christian County Deputy Coroner Zach Lamb says 53-year old Fleming Hutchinson of Hopkinsville was pronounced deceased at Jennie Stuart Medical Center and that an autopsy was scheduled for Monday at the Medical Examiner’s Office in Madisonville. Police are still investigating to determine the sequence of events that led to Hutchinson being shot and no suspect description has been released.
