Hopkinsville Community College will begin a new Construction Technology program in the fall.
Instructor Bob Smith says classes begin August 13th, the program is limited to 20 students at a time and several have already signed up.
He says students in the program will learn to build a house from the ground up
They’ll get first-hand experience by building a home for Habitat for Humanity.
Smith says most students will attend tuition free through financial aid and the Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship.
Anyone interested in signing up for the program can call Smith at 270-707-3892. Text books for the year-long program should cost less than $180.
