MLB Roundup-Reds, Cubs. Braves win, Cardinals lose

Adam Duvall homered and drove in two as the Cincinnati Reds trounced the Minnesota Twins 8-2 in the rubber match of a weekend series at Target Field. Cincinnati earned its first series win of the season. Manager Jim Riggleman says they’ll take all the wins they can get:

In the National League: Nick Kingham carried a perfect game into the seventh in his big league debut as the Pittsburgh Pirates shutout the St. Louis Cardinals 5-0 and swept the three-game series. The Cardinals are off today.

Tyler Chatwood and two relievers put together a two-hit shutout as the Chicago Cubs edged the Milwaukee Brewers 2-0. The Cubs welcome the Colorado Rockies this evening.

Ozzie Albies led off the game with a home run and the Atlanta Braves never looked back as they clobbered the Philadelphia Phillies 10-1. The Braves are off today.
