Novelis has announced a groundbreaking date for its new aluminum finishing plant in Guthrie.
The ceremony will be Monday, May 14 at 10 a.m. at the site on US 79 near the railroad overpass.
Novelis just recently named Paul Banks as the plant manager for the $300 million facility that will create approximately 125 new jobs. He previously served as Unit Manager at Logan Aluminum, which is a Novelis joint venture in Russellville.
The new plant is expected to open in 2020.
