Clarksville Police are investigating after a man was shot near the campus of Austin Peay State University Wednesday afternoon.
The man in his 20’s was walking toward College Street on Ford Street just before 12:30 p.m. when he was shot in the leg, according to a news release. The unidentified male suspect shot several rounds from an older model faded Ford, possibly a Taurus. The Ford turned onto Shearor Street and fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. The male suspect is described as being tall and thin with a short afro hair style.
The victim was flown to a Nashville hospital, where he was in stable condition.
