Christian County senior Diion Leavell signed today to continue his athletic and academic career at Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro. Leavell was a four year member of Christian County’s football team that went 32-16 over the last four years. After leading the team in tackles defensively his junior year, he was moved to running back for his senior year in which he rushed for 499 yards and seven touchdowns.
Leavell was a ten year member of the Colonel wrestling program and went 157-52 over his career and this past year was the state runner up at 182 pounds. WHOP Sports Director Todd Hamilton spoke with Leavell following his ceremony:
