Reds end losing streak, Braves win, Cards-Cubs weathered out

Billy Hamilton drove in three runs and scored twice as the Cincinnati Reds blasted the Milwaukee Brewers 10-4 last night in the first of three games at Miller Park. Cincinnati snapped an eight-game losing streak as Luis Castillo went six-and-two-thirds innings for his first win. Castillo says his changeup was sharp last night:

Elsewhere in the National League: Julio Teheran tossed six innings of one-run ball to help the Atlanta Braves edge the Philadelphia Phillies 2-1 at SunTrust Park. Teheran struck out nine and allowed five hits as he picked up his first win in four starts. The series continues this evening.

The St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs had their scheduled game postponed at Wrigley Field on Monday. That game will be made up on Saturday, July 21st as part of a day-night doubleheader that’s in the midst of a five-game series in Chicago.
The series is slated to begin this evening with the Cardinals Adam Wainwright scheduled to make the pitching start, while Tyler Chatwood is still the scheduled starter for Chicago.
