Christian County swept an 8th district series with Hopkinsville winning in 5 innings 11-0 at Colonel Field. Christian County’s Lane Diuguid pitched a one hit, complete game shutout and struck out nine. The only Hopkinsville hit was a double by third baseman Caleb Bapp in the second inning.
Christian County scored all their runs in three of their first four at bats. Wyatt Stevenson had two hits and four RBI, with Jase Polley adding two hits and three RBI. Starter Zach Caudill took the pitching loss for Hoptown, now 6-7 and concluded district play 4-2 while Christian County improved to 5-6 and 2-0 in district games.
