Phillip Ervin had a pair of RBI for the Reds, including the game-tying single in the ninth inning. Austin Brice was tagged with the loss for Cincinnati, who begins a weekend series with the St. Louis Cardinals this evening.
Elsewhere in the National League: The St. Louis Cardinals fell behind 3-0 in the fifth inning and never recovered in a 3-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers at Busch Stadium. Adam Wainwright allowed eight hits and three runs in seven innings to drop to 0-2.

Peter Bourjos singled in two runs in the top of the 12th inning and the Atlanta Braves hung on to beat the Washington Nationals 5-3. However, Braves pitcher Brandon McCarthy is day-to-day after partially dislocating his non-throwing shoulder.
It happened as he reached for a throw while covering first base for the final out of the fifth inning yesterday. The Braves are off today before opening a series against Chicago tomorrow at Wrigley Field.
