WDRB-Louisville reports the University of Louisville and former coach Rick Pitino have filed a joint motion asking a judge to seal records in lawsuits involving the parties. Pitino is seeking “student records” maintained by the athletic department according to court records.
The request for the protective order to seal evidence from the public would protect Pitino, U of L and others from what’s being called “annoyance, embarrassment, oppression, or undue burden or expense,” according to the motion.
It also includes a stipulation that within 60 days of the conclusion of the lawsuit, all confidential evidence “shall be destroyed by shredding”
