62 students awarded Heritage Bank scholarships

Heritage Bank awarded 63 students from western Kentucky and middle Tennessee with scholarships at an annual banquet Tuesday evening.

Teachers, family members, scholarship honorees and Heritage Bank representatives filled the James Bruce Convention Center to celebrate the students who are aiming to advance their education. President and CEO John Peck urged them to keep furthering their education, be kind in their endeavors and be persistent.

He says these students will shape the future, and he advised them to find something that they love doing and make it their goal to achieve.

Area students who received a scholarship were Wyatt Combs, Regan Hancock and Lexie O’Daniel, all from Christian County High School. Hopkinsville High School recipients were Ethan Noel, Veronica Pierre and Elizabeth Steil, and from Heritage Christian Academy was Isaac Bowers.  James Van Frogue and Hannah Stewart were the scholars from Todd County Central High School, and Kaylin Smith and Autumn Stewart from Trigg County High received Scholarships.  From University Heights Academy, the recipient was Alexis Cundiff.

Heritage Bank has now awarded approximately awarded 750 scholarships since the scholarship program’s inception in 2004. The scholarship honorees were also recognized that evening, for their dedication to education and passion for helping students succeed.
