A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 o’clock Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service in Paducah expects up to an inch of snow by the time the morning is over and that could cause some problems on roads with temperatures already below freezing. Bridges and overpasses will become slick first and motorists are urged to slow down and use appropriate caution when the snow reaches their area this morning.
Any snow that accumulates will be gone by early this afternoon when the temperature will top out in the mid-40’s.
It would be the first accumulating April snowfall since April 13, 2004 when about an inch coated the ground across the southern Pennyrile area.
