Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock for Hopkinsville Police Officer Phillip Meacham and officials have announced the procession route.
The funeral will be in the gymnasium of Christian County High School and burial will follow in New Ebenezer Cemetery on Pilot Rock Road.
Anyone wanting to show support and honor Officer Meacham along the procession route is encouraged by HPD to do so along North Main Street. Hopkinsville Police says also be aware that many of the side streets along the route will be blocked off with no access to North Main.
The route will go from Glass Avenue to North Main, then East First Street and Butler Road to the cemetery on Pilot Rock Road.
All blocked roads and detours will be clearly marked and motorists in those areas should expect delays.
A section of Pilot Rock Road from Monkey Norman Road to Jones Road will be closed from approximately 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. to allow overflow parking for the graveside service, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
