LPGA Tour: Princeton’s Emma Talley finished at three over par 291 at the Kia Classic in Carlsbad, CA Sunday. Talley’s 81st place finish did earn her almost $3,100.
PGA Tour: Louisville area native Justin Thomas was defeated 3 and 2 by eventual winner Bubba Watson in the semifinals of the WGC Match Play in Austin TX. Thomas would then lose 5 and 3 in the consolation match to Alex Noren.
Paducah’s Russ Cochran tied for 28th at one under par at the PGA Tour Champions Rapiscan Systems Classic Sunday in Biloxi, MS. Steve Stricker at 11 under was a three shot winner over Billy Andrade.
