Austin Peay lost a heartbreaker to Illinois-Chicago 83-81 in the quarterfinals of the College Insider.com tournament. UIC’s Godwin Boahen hit a go-ahead jumper with 1.4 seconds remaining to end the Governors season at 19-15. Freshman Terry Taylor of Bowling Green had a game high 31 points and 12 rebounds with Averyl Ugba concluding his Governors career with 14 points and 13 boards.
Elsewhere: Jacksonville State’s season ended in the CBI tournament as the Gamecocks were routed by North Texas 90-68.
