Man served with felony theft warrant

Hopkinsville Police served an arrest warrant for felony theft Wednesday morning against a man accused of stealing a five-gallon bucket of change.

The warrant alleges that on December 11 of last year, 37-year old Gregory Keyes stole the bucket containing between $1,500 and $2,000 worth of change. Keyes was hired by the victim to perform work in his home and he allegedly took the bucket while the victim was away.

When confronted, Keyes reportedly said he’d return the bucket of change, but never did so.

Keyes is charged with theft by unlawful taking.
