Opening round games began Wednesday at the Boys Sweet 16 in Rupp Arena. 4th region winner Warren Central started slow, but dispatched Southwestern 68-44 while Pikeville defeated 5th region winner John Hardin 72-69 in triple overtime. Earlier in the day, top ranked Scott County survived over third ranked Trinity 54-53 and Corbin cruised by Estill County 50-40.
