A pretrial hearing was set in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday for April 25 in the murder case of David Markle, who is accused of shooting Justin Fish to death in 2015.
Defense attorney Bill Maddox represents Markle and asked that a pretrial hearing be set in April when everyone can touch base on progress. In the meantime, Maddox says Markle is scheduled to meet with a mental health professional for further evaluation.
Maddox says he is still hopeful a resolution can be reached in the case before it goes to trial in August, but he wants the evaluations to take place before he proceeds.
The pretrial hearing was set for April 25 by Circuit Judge Andrew Self. Markle allegedly killed Fish at Fish’s Calvin Drive apartment and then called 911 and told dispatchers he had shot him.
