Icy roads were a factor in a single-vehicle wreck Monday morning on Herndon Oak Grove Road that injured a Lafayette Man.
According to the report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, 44-year old Laurence Leighner of Lafayette was operating a vehicle eastbound on Herndon Oak Grove Road when he hit a patch of ice while negotiating a curve. He reportedly lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway, struck an embankment and flipped before coming to a stop in a ditch.
Leighner was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for minor injuries.
