Search warrant leads to meth charges against two

Posted by vipology-forcht on March 9, 2018 in Local News

A search warrant was executed at an East Seventh Street home Thursday night, resulting in methamphetamine charges against two people.

Hopkinsville Police went to 700 East Seventh after receiving a tip that a wanted fugitive would be there and officers were given consent to search the home by 50-year old Donnie Lee Mudd of Hopkinsville.

An arrest citation says there were items associated with use of illegal drugs in plain sight and a search warrant was obtained.

Police found a small amount of crystal methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia including two glass pipes.

Mudd and another occupant of the home, 39-year old Julie Ramirez of Hopkinsville, were charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ramirez was arrested and Mudd was cited into court.
