At the Girls Sweet 16 this afternoon, Owensboro Catholic defeated Johnson Central 56-46. The Lady Aces improved to 27-7 on the season and will face the Murray-Mercer County winner in quarterfinal play on Friday.
The second game this afternoon saw Elizabethtown rout Bowling Green 62-41. The Lady Purples finish the season 20-13 while E’town improved to 34-2 and will meet the Clark County-Harlan County winner in quarterfinal action on Friday.
