Elkton pair arrested for meth trafficking

Two Elkton residents were arrested on drug and other charges Sunday.

A news release says Todd County Sheriff’s Deputy Kenrick Harris stopped a vehicle driven by 33-year old Sabra Phillips of Elkton on Tress Shop Road for an equipment violation. A passenger, 32-year old Christopher Saddler of Elkton, attempted to exit the vehicle to flee but was taken into custody.

Saddler was sought on a Todd County warrant for failing to appear in court. Phillips was arrested for her second DUI and a search of the vehicle allegedly revealed methamphetamine, scales and baggies.

Both occupants were charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia and Phillips with tampering with evidence for trying to hide a meth pipe.

Sheriff Tracy White assisted in the investigation.
