Posted by vipology-forcht on February 27, 2018 in Local News

An investigation by Cadiz Police over the weekend led to the arrest of a couple on synthetic marijuana charges.

Officers were called to Wharton Drive Sunday to investigate a possible domestic assault and a news release says there was an odor of marijuana was coming from the residence.

Consent was given to search the home and police found remnants of several synthetic marijuana cigarettes, empty synthetic marijuana packets, a marijuana pipe, suspected loose synthetic marijuana and suspected synthetic marijuana that was packaged for resale.

Cadiz police arrested 26-year old Emilee Frederick and 36-year old Derrick Gude, both of Cadiz, on charges of trafficking in synthetic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
