The Nashville Predators announced today forward Mike Fisher has signed a one year, $1 million contract for the remainder of this season. Fisher announced he was coming out of retirement January 31st.
Nashville needed to sign Fisher by today for the team’s postseason roster. A roster spot for Fisher was created Sunday when forward Pontus Aberg was traded to the Edmonton Oilers.
The Predators also acquired forward Ryan Hartman and a 2018 5th round pick from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a first and fourth round pick in this year’s draft along with forward Victor Edjsell. The Predators return to action tomorrow night at the Winnipeg Jets.
