A man who led a Christian County sheriff’s deputy on a pursuit before driving his four-wheeler into a lake was arrested Monday night.
Deputy Corey Keene attempted to stop 37-year old Frankie Reed of Sacramento after seeing him headed south on Madisonville Road riding an ATV with a dead deer on the back. Reed allegedly kept going and almost wrecked while turning onto Lake Blythe Road.
Reed turned into two fields and Deputy Keene then saw a dim light in Lake Blythe. The ATV was submerged in the water and Reed was soon found attempting to hide on the ground with a camouflage jacket.
An arrest citation says Reed smelled of alcohol and a beer can was floating near where the ATV went into the water.
He allegedly became combative at the jail and a breathalyzer test wasn’t possible.
Reed was charged with two counts of fleeing or evading police, illegal taking of wildlife, operating an ATV on a roadway and DUI.
He was also served with a warrant for failing to appear in court.
