Livingston Central’s Bill McNamara was named the Boys 2nd region Coach of the Year Friday by the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches, with Christian County’s KiKi Radford named as the 2nd region Girls Coach of the Year.
McNamara led Livingston Central to a 17-13 record this season and the Cardinals will be the top seed in next week’s 5th district tournament. Radford led Christian County to a 19-7 regular season mark and a perfect 6-0 8th district record. The Lady Colonels will be the top seed in the 8th district tournament Monday night on their home floor.
As we reported Friday, Christian County’s Detorrion Ware and Trinitee Jackson were named the 2nd region candidates for Kentucky Mr. and Miss Basketball. The players were also the 2nd Region Players of the Year from the KABC.
