A traffic stop by Kentucky State Police in Muhlenberg County Friday led to the arrest of a Drakesboro couple for drug charges.
Trooper Curtis Crick stopped a vehicle driven by 35-year old Joshua Martin of Drakesboro on KY 431 South about 7 p.m. and a news release says Martin appeared to be under the influence.
A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed drug paraphernalia and two clear plastic baggies containing a substance that appeared to be methamphetamine or synthetic drugs.
A passenger, 46-year old Katherine Croxton of Drakesboro, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and various pills.
Both suspects were charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Martin is also charged with DUI and possession of synthetic drugs and Croxton with public drug intoxication.
