Western Kentucky found its offensive rhythm Saturday night, defeating FIU 83-76. Senior forward Justin Johnson led WKU with 25 points – just two shy of his career high – and seven rebounds, while senior guard Darius Thompson finished with 18 points, four assists and three steals in 40 minutes.
The Hilltoppers, now 18-7, 10-2 Conference USA are back in action Thursday night at North Texas.
The WKU Lady Toppers fell at Rice 73-58.Ivy Brown tallied her 30th career double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds and Tashia Brown added a game-high 23 points. The Lady Toppers are back in action Thursday night at Middle Tennessee.
