WKU hoops gets doubleheader sweep at Diddle Arena

Western Kentucky used a 14-5 run to end the game to pull out a 75-63 win over Florida Atlantic. The Hilltoppers (17-7, 9-2 Conference USA) were led by freshman Tavieon Hollingsworth, playing his first game in a mask after suffering a broken nose last week at UTSA, who had a team-high 20 points. WKU hosts Florida International tomorrow evening.

In the women’s game: Tashia Brown broke the 20-point barrier for the 18th time this season with 23 points and freshman Sherry Porter added 12 more as the Lady Toppers fended off Old Dominion, 62-48 for the team’s sixth straight victory. The Lady Toppers play at Rice tomorrow afternoon.
