Sunday’s women’s college basketball scores/tonight’s schedule

Conference USA Player of the Year candidate Tashia Brown scored a game-high 26 points and WKU held off Louisiana Tech to earn a 74-64 road win Sunday. WKU maintained its lead atop the C-USA standings with the victory. The Lady Toppers host Florida Atlantic Saturday afternoon.

In the SEC: Merecdes Russell scored 14 points and added 10 rebounds, but 10th ranked Tennessee could not overcome a 44-point second half by LSU in a 70-59 loss on Sunday. The Lady Vols return to action Thursday hosting Texas A&M.

Chelsie Hall scored a team-best 16 but Vanderbilt dropped a 91-67 contest to 15th ranked Texas A&M. The Commodores return to action Thursday night at Ole Miss.

Asia Durr scored 26 points to lead the 4th ranked Louisville Cardinals over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 89-52. Louisville plays at Virginia Thursday night.

Tonight’s game: Coming off arguably its best performance of the season against Alabama, Kentucky looks to continue its momentum tonight at Arkansas. Tipoff from Bud Walton Arena is at 6 pm.
