Ware’s 51 points lead Colonels to 105-92 win over Tigers

Detorrion Ware had a season high and new school record 51 points as Christian County defeated Hopkinsville 105-92 at Lyle Dunbar Gym. The Colonels trailed 25-17 at the end of the first quarter and got down by 12 before outscoring Hopkinsville 33-17 in the second quarter to take a 50-42 halftime lead.

Ware was one of four players in double figures for Christian County who got 16 points from Damikeon Mathis and 12 each from Fred Tandy and Eric Brody. Hopkinsville was led by Steven Cager’s 28 points, Bryce Smith added 19 including five three pointers. Don Victor and Jalen Johnson each had 12 points.

Christian County is now 11-6 and 2-0 in 8th district play and travel to Franklin Simpson Tuesday night.
