Oak Grove partners with Southern Kentucky Film Commission

Oak Grove Tourism Executive Director Traci Cunningham now has a seat on the Southern Kentucky Film Commission’s board of directors after Oak Grove joined the group at a recent meeting in Munfordville.

The Commission markets the southern Kentucky area to attract the film manufacturing industry, and they help to identify potential locations and resources, according to a news release.

Cunningham says, “I am trilled and excited to be the representative for this area. Christian County is one of the enhanced counties for the state filming incentives. I believe this is an extraordinary opportunity for the entire county and I think it will benefit us greatly.  We are already getting a number of requests and inquiries, which further proves that this will create a positive impact for our economy.”

Munfordville Tourism Executive Director Coni Shepperd says, “Southern Kentucky is blessed with beautiful locations of all kinds and an abundance of southern hospitality, and the Oak Grove area brings with it some unique opportunities for filmmakers. Traci will be the film contact, and we are sure that her knowledge of the area and her enthusiasm will be a great asset to our commission.”
