Marshall County High School students returned to school Friday morning—three days after a shooting that left two dead and 21 injured.
Governor Matt Bevin was in Benton Friday morning for an event in conjunction with the faith-based community and says Sunday will be a statewide day of prayer for Marshall County.
He hopes Kentuckians will pray for comfort and peace for the victims and their loved ones.
Jason Holt, the father of Bailey Holt who died in the shooting, said all of the families are suffering.
Visitation for Bailey Holt and Preston Cope will be Saturday from 4 – 9 p.m. at the Marshall County High School gymnasium. Funeral services for Cope will be Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the gymnasium and the funeral for Holt is set for 1 p.m. Sunday at Twin Lakes Worship Center.
Kentucky State Police say three of the injured remain hospitalized in stable condition.
