Elkton man arrested after shots fired incident

An Elkton man was arrested late Monday night following a shots fired incident.

Elkton Police Officer Matt Overby was dispatched to the Harvest Moon Apartments on West Main Street about 11:30 p.m.

Witnesses said 55-year old Frederick Thomas was drunk and that he had fired multiple shots in the air in an attempt to shoot out street lights surrounding the apartments.

Police located Thomas in his residence and arrested him without incident. A search warrant was executed and police say various weapons were seized. Thomas was lodged in the Todd County Jail for three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
