Three Hopkinsville residents were arrested Monday afternoon by Hopkinsville police on charges of possession of cocaine and marijuana.
According to the police report, officers stopped a vehicle that had an expired registration plate. Upon making contact with the driver, 23-year old Nekoreale Thomas of Hopkinsville, officers allegedly saw a small amount of marijuana in his lap. Thomas and his passengers, 21-year old Jevartaye Thomas and 50-year old Lucy Bonadio, were removed from the vehicle.
A search revealed a plastic bag containing cocaine between the passenger front seat and the center console, and a bag of marijuana was found beside the driver seat. All three were charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana.
Nekoreale Thomas was additionally charged with no registration plates. **
