A man accused of choking his wife Friday was arrested for assault and marijuana trafficking.
Hopkinsville Police were called to a disturbance on White Street and found the victim with marks on her neck she said came from 31-year old James Jamelle Jones of Hopkinsville. Jones had left, but was located at the Walmart Neighborhood Market.
A K9 alerted on his vehicle and a search allegedly revealed a duffel bag containing three separate containers of marijuana and digital scales.
Jones was arrested for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and trafficking in marijuana
