Trent Haddock files to run for Circuit Court Clerk

The race for Christian Circuit Court Clerk has a new contender, as Democrat Trinity “Trent” Haddock filed his papers and kicked off his campaign Thursday evening.

The son of Gary Haddock, current Circuit Court Clerk who has said he will not run for reelection in 2018, and grandson Jack Haddock, who also served as Circuit Court Clerk, Trent Haddock told the large crowd that he has the experience needed to serve that post.

He most recently served as Probation and Parole Assistant District Supervisor. He says he would bring proven leadership to the post and there’s no one who wants to see the office succeed more than him.

He says he will advocate for the best technology for the deputy clerks, lead by example, improve customer service and make sure the office has good relationships with all the agencies they work with.

Haddock will face Paige Parker in the Democratic Primary in May, who filed her papers to seek the office earlier this month.                                                                                                **
