A teenager who allegedly committed two robberies Monday in Clarksville was arrested in Oak Grove.
Clarksville Police say the first robbery happened about 2:30 a.m. at a convenience store in the 600 block of Lafayette Road in Clarksville. The 16-year old juvenile allegedly walked in the store, displayed a handgun, and told the clerk to open the register. He took money from the register along with three boxes of cigars and then fled the scene in a pickup truck.
Less than a half hour later, the same juvenile allegedly committed a second robbery at the 600 block of Tiny Town Road. Police say he went inside the business, paid for fuel, filled up the vehicle, and then went back inside, pointed a handgun at the clerk and asked for money. The juvenile was given money and he left the scene. Clarksville Police were able to identify the suspect and sent a “be on the lookout alert” for the vehicle and juvenile.
The vehicle was spotted and stopped in Oak Grove. The suspect is currently awaiting extradition back to Clarksville where he will be served with juvenile petitions for two counts of aggravated robbery.
